“With no budget and a DIY spirit, the song punches well above its humble production”
Hailing from Dothan, Alabama; a small city in an area of the country known as The Wiregrass, GATP began in the summer of 2024 as an acoustic solo project by founding member, Mike (Sully) Sullivan. After releasing an EP recorded in his living room, Sully missed playing in a band, so he began to recruit local talent until the full band version of GATP was born.
GATP has become a driving force in the local, DIY scene. Through the imprint, Old Bryce Productions, Sully and GATP work to showcase Dothan as a worthy spot for local and regional punk rock. They take the stance that anywhere can be a stage, be it inside an empty house, the front lawn of a trailer park, or on the floor of the local skate shop.
GATP maintains the reputation in the southeast as a must see. Their shows are fast, filled with emotion and sweat, leaving the audience asking, “when are yall playing again?”
